Savana was born and raised in Austin. She graduated from Austin College with a degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies. Upon graduating, Savana spent two years in Houston as a social worker, helping welfare to work mothers, parolees, and immigrants find gainful employment. She moved back to Austin in 2000 and started working at Schroeder as an assistant. She was granted ownership of Schroeder Carpet two years later, when her mother and the founder of the company, Selene Schroeder retired. A few years into the business, Savana was able to build a knowledgeable, loyal, and friendly staff that would establish Schroeder Carpet as Austin’s premiere flooring dealer.

Savana felt it imperative to service a broader clientele base rather than members of the trade only, so the showroom was made available to interior designers, builders, remodelers, and individual homeowners. With that in mind, she joined Austin Remodeler’s Association, now known as Austin NARI. She served on the board of directors for many years, was eventually elected vice president and later, president of the association.

With over two decades of experience working with a variety of clients in the flooring industry, she has the practical knowledge, skills, and experience to help anyone find the right solution for their home.

In her free time, she can be found walking the hike and bike trail, shopping with her teenage son, trying to wrangle her Wheaton, Badu, and desperately searching for Austin restaurants that don’t require reservations.

Originally from Iowa, Shannon moved here after college and fell in love with Austin. She has been an integral part of the Schroeder team since 2002. With a natural sense of style, she effortlessly stays up to date with current design trends to better assist her clients.

In her free time, she can be found experimenting with a new recipe, working on a home project, or at the lake with her husband, two daughters, and three feisty little dogs. Shannon’s guilty pleasures include the Today Show, a good chip and dip, and Hawkeyes football.

A member of the team for over 15 years, Julia enjoys assisting clients with product selection for a wide range of projects.

A graduate of Austin High School and Austin College in Sherman, Julia previously worked in New York and overseas in television development, sales, and production. She is a longtime volunteer for SXSW and served on the board of Ten Thousand Villages of Austin.

Julia enjoys film, travel, sports, and art museums.

The last to join the team, Halley has been with us since 2018. You can often find her laughing and smiling as she handles the day to day in the showroom, wearing many hats, such as customer service, office management, and book keeping. She also works with a handful of clients as the newest sales associate.

Studying interior design at Texas State, Halley has an eye for color and design. She especially loves bright, bold colors and patterns, and believes animal print is a neutral. Born and raised in the Austin area, she fell head over heels for eclectic South Austin where she now thrives. When she’s not working you can find her exploring new coffee shops, sewing or quilting, or on the hunt for wild and crazy antiques.
